Founders do not come out of the womb understanding how to raise venture capital and manage that capital well. Most who do it learn through their network. They went to Stanford/Harvard / worked at a Silicon Valley company and were able to brush shoulders with people who have done it…then the knowledge gets passed down. If you’re like me, in the 99% of people who don’t have access to that network, this knowledge is hidden. Although “pay to play” gets a bad rep, there needs to be something that serves the 99% and it won’t be able to run/grow without revenue.
